Welcome Women Shooters

Welcome to the Gun Powder Gals!

We currently have to chapters! One located in Fayetteville, NC and in Kalamazoo, MI.

Our members are from all walks of life, and at various skill levels. What you will find is a common love of shooting in a supportive environment.  This group is for women who like to shoot—whether rifle, pistol, shotguns—beginners or experts.

The purpose of the Gun Powder Gals is along four key areas:

EDUCATION     General safety and knowledge
PROTECTION    Self protection and home defense
CAMARADERIE    Having fun, meeting new people, and supporting the community
LEARNING/COMPETITION    Learning and Testing our skill through clinics and competitive shooting events

You choose from two types of membership – our Casual Shooter member  attend our normal meetup shooting events pay $5 per event to attend.  We hold several events each month in a variety of days, times, and locations.

Like to shoot more often or looking to really up your game?  Choose our Annual Membership ($200) that provides them with discounts to our competitive and learning events, our lunch and learns, our women’s adventure days, and a variety of other event. Our normal shooting meetups are free to them and they are provided with targets.

We also have a private Facebook group for active members who have pay annual dues.

Upcoming events are currently displayed on our Gun Powder Gals at www.meetup.com page. You’ll need to sign up (for free) at meetup.com and then request to join our group.  Our main pages displays are current events and allow you to RSVP.

The Meetup site contains information on past and future meet ups, polls, discussions, and helpful guidelines for group members.  The more active you are, the more it will benefit the entire group!

The Gun Powder Gals  Organizes and hosts events in the field of shooting firearms for cultural or educational purposes; Organizing sporting events, namely, competitions at gun shooting ranges, 2-gun training clinics,IDPA style training clinics, beginner and advanced shooting; Training in the use and operation of firearms.
